Arhita Biswas
Founder - President
Arhita serves as the Ideational Head and lead Trainer for period and gender educators. Currently pursuing her PhD at Presidency University, Kolkata, she is also a visiting faculty member in the Department of Sociology at Jadavpur University. Arhita's research and social work are deeply rooted in sanitation, gender, and education. Her visionary leadership and passion for creating an inclusive society have driven Spriha’s mission to challenge taboos and empower communities, particularly through menstrual health education and gender justice programs. Her research and social work interests lie in sanitation, gender, and education.
Jaya Biswas
Vice President
With over 25 years of experience in the educational sector, Jaya has built an impressive career across both government and private institutions. Her expertise spans curriculum development, teacher training, and educational leadership, with a focus on fostering academic excellence and student development. Known for her innovative approach to education, Jaya has been instrumental in shaping inclusive, student-centered learning environments that inspire growth and success. A seasoned educator and leader, she remains dedicated to empowering future generations through transformative education.
Ankita Ghosh
Founder-Secretary
Ankita has a robust background in education, having served as a School Transformation Lead at Mantra4Change and as a teacher at B. D. Memorial International School in Kolkata. At Spriha Society, she holds the positions of Founder-Secretary and Monitoring and Evaluation Lead. In these roles, Ankita oversees the organization’s impact assessment and ensures the effectiveness of our programs. Her dedication to educational improvement and her strategic approach to monitoring make her an essential part of Spriha’s efforts to drive meaningful and measurable social change.
Priyanka Chatterjee
Treasurer
Priyanka is the Treasurer at Spriha Society, where she manages the organization's financial operations with precision and accountability. With prior experience as a Business Development Head at KNUTS.in, a growing startup, and as a Conference Secretariat at Mind Vision Enterprise, Priyanka combines her expertise in financial management and strategic planning to ensure the sustainability and growth of Spriha’s initiatives. Her role as Treasurer complements her strategic mindset, enabling her to contribute effectively to Spriha's mission of addressing key social issues.
Rishav Das
Web Development Lead and CSR
Rishav is a Senior Project Manager in the IT industry with a passion for design and aquascaping. Beyond his professional career, he is an active support member of the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations, where he contributes to animal welfare initiatives. His long-term goal is to dedicate himself to wildlife rescue and mitigating animal-human conflicts, reflecting his deep commitment to conservation. At Spriha Society, Rishav serves as our CSR Head and Web Development Lead, leveraging his diverse skills to enhance both our digital presence and our corporate social responsibility efforts.
Oishee Ahmed
Research Head
Oishee holds an MA in Sociology from Presidency University, Kolkata, and has two years of experience specializing in data management, including working with census data. She is skilled in handling large-scale research projects and is currently seeking roles in Data and Client Management, Market Research, and Research Consulting. At Spriha Society, Oishee plays a crucial role in managing research initiatives, contributing her analytical expertise to support the organization’s mission of driving informed social change.
Anomitra Biswas
Social Media Manager
Anomitra is the Social Media Manager at Spriha Society, where she leads the organization’s digital outreach and content strategy. She is also an Assistant Professor at GITAM Deemed University, specializing in English, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies. Her teaching portfolio includes English literature, New Media, and Interdisciplinary Studies, while her research focuses on literary studies, digital humanities, cultural studies, and sociolinguistics, with a particular emphasis on the Global South and Indian media. In addition to her academic and managerial roles, Anomitra works as a freelance copy editor, content developer, teacher, and translator, bringing a diverse skill set to Spriha’s mission of social impact.
